It Doesn't Get Easier

I know I sound like a broken record,
but it's my blog and I don't care.

Today as I was leaving work I hopped on FB,
only to discover another pregnancy announcement.
This marks 6 announcements in the past 7 weeks.
Just in case you are keeping track!
That doesn't include everyone else that I know that's pregnant. Just the recent announcements.

I thought at some point it would get easier to see these.
It doesn't.
In fact, it just gets harder.

I called Travis on my way to class and told him about the announcement.
He told me he was sorry.
And that these announcements are starting to get to him.
I sometimes forget I'm not the only one wanting a child.
He does too.
I guess I need to stop and think about how this may be affecting him.

This blows.
I'm fucking over it.
I will be calling the RE tomorrow to schedule an appointment ASAP.

  1. Unfortunately we're all at "that age" and it's happening like crazy! We're not trying but we had expected to be the first in my husbands side of the family to have kids but two of his cousins had their babies last year (both of which weren't married or in long term relationships so it was a total surprise). Now a third cousin is expecting (they are married) but they weren't even planning on having kids. Its so annoying because we are being responsible about when to have kids and there they all go! I know several girls with PCOS who are trying so I hear your pain almost daily. Not that it's much of my business, but I have read that alcohol consumption can interfere with getting pregnant especially if you have PCOS. All of my friends who have that and are trying have stopped drinking (along with the diet change).

  2. I have PCOS and met with 3 different REs, one of which is the top PCOS expert in the nation, and I was never advised to stop drinking. They didn't even tell me to go on any special diet, but when I asked, South Beach was recommended. They basically told me metformin might help improve egg quality and get me ovulating, so you are doing a great job so far with that.

Hugs, my friend. I know how rough all of this is, and I recall the pain so clearly. I know in my heart you will have success soon, and I will be here to support you and cheer you on every step of the way! Here's hoping you have some renewed hope after meeting with Dr. M.

    XO!
